Malt bread makes a moist base for these tangy sweet bites.
Serves 32
2 fruited malt loaves 250g/9oz mascarpone cheese 1 orange 2tsp marmalade 6 kumquat
Cut each loaf into 8 slices and then cut each slice in half. Mix the mascarpone with the orange rind and marmalade and spread on the bread. Top each piece with a slice of kumquat. Cook's note Kumquat looks like a baby elongated orange. The whole lot is edible, so can be scattered over or on dishes, sliced or halved.
