Guinness Bread

Fantastic served warm with sausages, creamy mash and onion gravy.

Servings

1 ½ lb size loaf

Ingredients

Bread maker setting: 2 wholewheat - 1½ cups/330ml Guinness - 5 cups/550g of malted brown flour - ½ tsp salt - 1½ tsp fast action yeast -

Method

Measure the ingredients into the pan in the order they are listed above.  This ensures the best mixing and therefore the best result.

Press start button.

When the loaf is ready, the machine will beep and the loaf tin can be removed using an oven glove, be careful as it is very hot.

Allow the bread to cool in the pan for 15 minutes before turning the pan upside down and tapping the loaf onto a cooling rack.
