Serves 4
375g ready rolled puff pastry 200g Creme anglais (or other ready made custard) 3 apples, cored and sliced 2tbsp apricot glazed or sieved jam - warmed (apricot glaze may be in the home baking section or jam area)
Preheat the oven at Gas Mark 6/200C. Lay pastry in the base of a 25cmx 36cm (10"x 14 1/2") swiss roll tin with any excess pastry going up the sides of the dish. Spread on a thin layer of creme anglais and then add sliced apples. Brush with apricot glaze and bake in oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool and serve warm.
