Cheesy Bacon Bread Bites

These can be made in advance and frozen before cooking. When required, defrost before grilling. Best served warm.

Ingredients
8 slices bread, 1½cm thick
100g/4oz Gruyére cheese grated
5tsp seed mustard
25g/1oz butter
24 slices of smoked streaky bacon
Method
Mix the cheese, mustard and butter together Cut the crusts off the slices of bread and spread with the cheese mixture. Cut each slice across into 6 fingers and cut each slice of bacon in half lengthways. Wind a strip of bacon in a spiral around each finger of bread, tucking in the ends. Place under a medium grill for about 5 minutes, turning once, until the bacon is cooked and the bread is golden. Serve warm.
