Bacon butty crowned the nation’s favourite taste
Published: 18 March 2011
A recent poll has seen the humble bacon butty crowned Britain’s most pleasurable taste.
Almost a fifth of people said that a bacon sandwich with either brown sauce or tomato ketchup was their favourite taste. Chips with salt and vinegar came 2nd with 12% of the vote and this was closely followed by chocolate éclairs with 10%. A jam doughnut also featured in the top ten.
The research was conducted ahead of Bacon Connoiseurs Week which begins on Monday. If you want a lunchtime sandwich with a bit more of a bite , why not try our peanut, bacon and avocado sarnie?
