Published: 08 February 2011

British puddings have grown in popularity according to a recent poll by Asda.

Apple crumble topped the list of ten most popular puddings, with 68% of people who were interview saying that it was their favourite. Sticky toffee, bread and butter pudding, spotted dick and jam roly-poly have also seen increased sales this winter. Two thirds of people surveyed said that they baked their own puddings at home.

It could be that traditional puddings have seen an increase in popularity throughout the winter months as they are a real comfort and relatively cheap and easy to make from scratch.
