Bread is a great source of fibre which we all need to help us stay fighting fit. Research shows that fibre keeps our digestive system healthy and may help protect against certain cancers and types of diabetes. A high intake of fibre rich carbohydrates can reduce the risk of developing cancers of the gastrointestinal tract including colon cancer.
